This month, we’d like to highlight the hard work and dedication of our pre-construction team with a special welcome to our new Project Coordinator, Julie Endres. Julie is already working diligently to ensure that our building plan & permitting process runs smoothly for each new home. Almost every plan built by GW Homes is a custom plan, and, as Project Coordinator, Julie orchestrates the transition from custom vision to custom construction with accuracy and efficiency. She ensures that permit packages are prepared with 100% accuracy and in a timely manner. She prepares the Job Packages for our Construction Teams which includes efficiency and quality checkpoints such as Quality Checklists for milestones throughout construction, Permit Package, House Details, and other pertinent information essential to the custom quality home construction that GW Homes provides.
As Purchasing Manager of the Purchasing Department, Kris Gerling ensures that our customers are getting the best quality products at the best value, and performs months of due diligence on each potential vendor. The Purchasing Department is the mastermind behind effectively achieving custom options and upgrades for each home package. Kris ensures all material and subcontractor packages are accurate and that they reflect the best value based on price, materials, and services for each home package. Kris works hard to maintain excellent relationships with quality trade partners to ensure that GW Homes has the resources to build high-quality homes efficiently and satisfactorily.
Our accounts payable team also plays a vital but sometimes hidden role in ensuring that every home we build is made with the best materials, provided and constructed by the most trustworthy and reputable vendors. Karen Oliver, in the Accounts Payable department, ensures that all trade partners are properly insured to do business with GW Homes. She responsibly verifies that all licenses and insurance requirements from state and local municipalities are in place. And she maintains excellent relationships with trade partners by paying all invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
We are grateful to our Pre-Construction team for helping lay the foundations for success and ensuring that everything runs as smoothly as possible behind the scenes well in advance, before we start building each and every home, designed with you in mind.
